What is coaching?

Coaching is a structured, goal-led partnership for people who are emotionally stable and ready to take action. It's designed to help you clarify what you want, identify what's blocking progress, and create practical steps forward.

Unlike counselling, which explores emotional distress, trauma, grief, or past experiences - coaching is about the present and future: your goals, your decision-making, and the actions you can take now.

Important: Coaching is not therapy and does not process trauma or grief. It's for people who want directive, goal-focused support to gain clarity, momentum, and accountability - not emotional containment or crisis support.

Goal-focused

We work toward specific, meaningful outcomes you want to achieve.

Action-oriented

Each session includes practical steps and tools you can use immediately.

Strengths-based

We build on what's already working and what you do well.

Your direction

You set the agenda - I support, challenge, and guide along the way.

Coaching is for you if

Online coaching for life transitions, career development, and confidence building across the UK.

You're navigating a career change, redundancy, or returning to work

You're a professional seeking clarity on your next career move

You're a parent returning to work after bereavement or caring responsibilities

You want to build confidence or overcome procrastination

You're seeking structure and direction after a difficult period (but not currently in crisis)

You want clarity, direction, or momentum in life or work

You're ready to take responsibility for your next steps

You want practical structure, accountability, and action-focused support

You're prepared to take action, not just talk about it

You're looking for guidance and challenge, not answers or advice

Coaching may not be right if

It's important to match the right type of support to your needs.

You are processing trauma, grief, or significant emotional distress

These areas require therapeutic support. Coaching does not process trauma or grief - counselling offers the safe, trauma-informed space you need.

You need support with past experiences affecting your present wellbeing

Counselling provides a space to explore emotions, patterns, and healing at your own pace with no pressure to 'move forward' before you're ready.

You want someone to tell you what to do or give you answers

Coaching is collaborative - you lead the agenda, I support your thinking, challenge assumptions, and help you find your own answers.

You are not yet ready to take action or responsibility for change

Coaching requires engagement, willingness to experiment, reflect, and adjust. If you need space to process first, counselling may be more appropriate.

If you're navigating trauma, grief, or emotional overwhelm, counselling or trauma & grief support may be a better fit for what you need right now.
